Don't you think the ultra rich fat cats who own these oil wells would have had numerous plans already in place in the event of a catastrophe like this?  I mean  Come On! Its a shame that  the 4 or 5 states along the Gulf Coast  did not have a backup plan with the number of oil wells off their coast. Now they pay the ultimate price for being stupid. Ok ...good news for once...   You don't realize how much you really  miss something....until its gone  .... That applies  here  Big Time.Thanks to the SHA  and our tax dollars..... for getting the Rt 90 bride up and running  ahead of schedule.  Even with a nor-easter  hurricane after effects event  in the middle of the redo!I am guessing they figured a deadline of Thanksgiving  but played it safe  and said Christmas . Well   we are 2 weeks into the Rt90 bridge  closure ... They  ( whoever they is? )  said it would be a 8 week closure    or that it would be opened by Christmas..   Lets hope sooner than later  and the weather may play a big part of it.  I know that many businesses in mid-town OC  are really hurting.  I live in the middle of Bville and I really have to plan my days before I venture out.  There have been a few days  where I just...READ POST.

WoW    what is that sound today....  as I drove down coastal highway......???   The sound of fall silence has decended on the resort.  Bikers have mostly departed after a wild weekend . They brought lots of excitment and money to the businesses ...  and only one  tragic incident. Otherwise   a Cha CHING!!! Weekend! ..   Now   we can relax and ease on into Sunfest  which starts thursday.  Look for me at the Bud Lite truck behind the OC...READ POST.

I guess one day  I will break down and buy the $400 dollar weathered look  HD leather jacket...  the $200 buffed out steel toe satin black boots.....  the  $150 clam shell helmet  to keep my brain intact and   sell the house to get me the latest $25,000 chopper ....flip off the world and saddle me up a bikerbitch  and cruise with the hombres to the next wet t-shirt event.  By then...  my hearing won't be that great anyway.... and I can survive...READ POST.
