The General Levin Winder Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) annually sponsors an American History essay contest in area schools. Winners were invited to the Chapter’s luncheon meeting on Feb. 19 to read excerpts and receive their awards from American History Committee Chairman Joan Chambers.
